How do I access Quest's databases off campus?

Access our e-resources via our library website and you will automically get redirected to the proxy login page. Use your webmail login and password for access. The URL must contain "http://ezproxy.questu.ca:2048" in the address in order for the databases to acknowledge you as a Quest patron. If there are problems, please contact us at library@questu.ca or call us at 604.898.8050.

How do I print from my laptop?

Bookmark the PaperCut login page (https://print.questu.ca). Enter your webmail user ID and password for access. Click here for instructions on how to upload your documents.

I have no money left on my PaperCut account. Can the Library top it up?

Unfortunately, we do not accept or exchange money in the Library. Please see Dee at reception from 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday for adding money to your PaperCut account.

The copier jammed and I didn't get my print job. Can the Library refund my PaperCut account?

Yes we can - please see a Library staff person for help.

How can I access the full text of this article?

The article may be available in full text within another database. If not, we can place an interlibrary loan request with another institution.

Can I borrow _______ (insert school supply of choice)?

Yes! We have scientific calculators, compass and protractor sets, rulers, felt pens, pencil crayons, scissors, glue and headphones available for loan. Please ask us at the circulation desk and have your Quest ID ready.

There are fines on my account. Where do I pay for them?

At the moment, we are not enforcing fines. We keep a running record of fines on your account for administrative purposes. However, please be mindful of due dates especially with regards to Reserve materials. High accumulations of "fines" on your account may result in blocking your borrowing privileges.

How do I find a book on the shelves?

The books on the shelves are organized by Library of Congress classification system. Use the letter ranges posted on the ends of each shelf to guide where to start your search.

How do I cite my sources?

During the Foundation blocks, you are required to cite your sources according to MLA or APA standards. Whichever citation style you choose, keep it consistent within your paper. Peer tutors in the Learning Commons as well as the Library staff can help you if you have any specific questions about citations.

Can I still check items out of the Library if I don't have my Quest ID card?

Yes, if you present photo ID in lieu of your Quest ID card.
