BORROWING BOOKS AND DVDS IN COURSE RESERVES
WHAT ARE COURSE RESERVES?
Course Reserves are books and DVDs that faculty have requested to be on short loan status due to anticipated high circulation.
WHERE TO FIND COURSE RESERVES
Course Reserves are located behind the Circulation desk and may be checked out using your Quest ID. They are available only when the Circulation desk is staffed.
LOAN TIMES
Generally, loan times for reserves are as follows:
- 2 hours for books
- 4 hours for DVDs
Should you check out a 2-hour reserve book within the final two hours before Circulation closes, that book would be due the next day an hour after opening.
Holds cannot be placed on reserve items.
VIEWING CURRENT COURSE RESERVES
To view all current Course Reserves, search by course name or tutor name under the Course Reserve tab in the Quest Library catalogue.
In the EDS, the Call number identifies Course Reserve items.
